Business and Commercial Litigation
In litigation matters, Caryn represents individuals and business entities in lawsuits involving fraudulent practices, breach of contract, tort liability, property disputes, employment law, and real estate.
Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts
Caryn’s estate planning approach involves working closely with clients to design a comprehensive plan to protect assets and implement personal and financial goals. She is experienced at drafting estate planning instruments including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced health care directives.
Caryn also aids clients in probate matters and post-mortem administration of trusts to ensure that all legal obligations are met. She has assisted executors, administrators, and trustees of estates in all aspects of the probate and trust administration process from the initial inventory and appraisal of assets to distribution of the estate.
Business Transactions
In her transactional practice, Caryn concentrates on the formation of business entities and drafting of business-related agreements. Her experience includes advising clients on business formation issues, preparing business formation documents, drafting business related contracts, and counseling clients on intellectual property issues.

LITIGATION
- Elder Abuse – Assisted in successful representation of plaintiff in case involving claims for fraud and financial elder abuse by drafting court pleadings and participating in settlement of case.
- Fraudulent Transfer & Cancellation of Instruments – Supported lead counsel by working on motions that resulted in federal savings bank obtaining judgment in its favor and award of attorneys fees.
ESTATE PLANNING, PROBATE, AND TRUST ADMINISTRATION
- Trust Administration – Participated in successful defense of trustees in a suit alleging violations of their fiduciary duties and beneficiary seeking additional distributions from the trust corpus.
- Post-Mortem Administration of Trusts – Has assisted clients in the administration of a multi-million dollar trust estate, drafted all documents necessary to transfer real property and securities held in trust, and aided lead counsel in ensuring distribution of assets was consistent with applicable tax laws.
- Probate – Represented individuals seeking to be appointed administrators of an estate where decedent left no instrument directing distribution of the estate assets. After the individuals were appointed administrators, Caryn assisted in the inventory and appraisal of assets, identification of heirs, distribution of estate assets, and satisfaction of applicable tax obligations of the estate.
- Estate Planning – Caryn has drafted numerous estate plans including, simple and complex revocable trusts, amendments, restatements, and special needs trusts.
BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS
- Entertainment – Drafted participant agreement for reality television series at major cable network.
- Business Formation – Assisted numerous individuals in completing the documentation necessary to form a corporation, limited liability company, and/or partnership.
