Sophia Karkazis

Associate

As a member of the Litigation practice group, Sophia Karkazis concentrates her efforts on various types of litigation. 

Experienced in Federal and California Criminal Law

Prior to joining Archer Norris, Sophia clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted criminal misdemeanor cases before federal magistrate judges. Sophia also clerked at the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office where she conducted felony preliminary examinations, argued pre-trial motions and tried a misdemeanor jury trial. She gathered and analyzed evidence, interviewed witnesses and helped negotiate plea agreements with opposing counsel. 

Background in High-Tech Business Law 

Sophia also previously worked as a legal assistant at a semiconductor company in Silicon Valley where she oversaw products liability, patent infringement and employment cases and monitored the patent application process.
